I didn't realize these puzzle pieces are only 3 unique shapes. The shape and how they fit together are inspired, but it just didn't feel right that so many pieces became interchangeable. It didn't have the typical 'looking for a specific piece'. Instead you had to depend on the visual instead of the tactile. Not a bad thing necessarily, I just didn't note that when I picked this puzzle out.
Overall, the puzzle is gorgeous. The 4 pepper rating was not too bad. I finished this in less than a week with a few hours here and there. I thought it would be harder, but I also used the color image to help me search for pieces which may be cheating? I will try to not use the picture the next time I play with this.

I had such a great time putting this puzzle together! The quality of the pieces was excellent — sturdy, clean cuts and they fit together perfectly. The image was vibrant and detailed, which made the process even more enjoyable. It struck the perfect balance between being challenging and relaxing. I’m already looking forward to getting my next one. Highly recommend for any puzzle lovers out there!

Loved putting this puzzle together. It was a real challenge to do but worth the effort. Near the end I found that I had a few pieces in the wrong spots but was able to fix, needed tweezers to help remove them. Looking forward to my next puzzle.

We are looking forward to putting this together and then converting it to a permanent piece of art. We already have the right spot picked out for where we will hang this when it is done.

Since getting this a month ago I've already completed it twice! I love it!

Yikes, what have I done to myself! I bought this puzzle because I thought the image was so beautiful, but it didn't occur to me until I received it how difficult it would be to complete. Because the image is abstract, putting the puzzle together using colors as a prompt is not helpful. I almost despaired that I could ever complete it (the image on the box is too small to use it as a guide) until 'blessed' Kenzie put a large image of it in her comments - that helped. I still haven't finished it, but now there is hope for my 'puzzle' future. Next time, I'll be wiser.

I gave it to my mother who loves puzzles for Christmas. She can complete a 1000 piece puzzle in a few days so I am very pleased that this one took her all of 2 weeks to complete. The colours and patterns are nice on this one, and the completed puzzle is vibrant and beautiful.

Usually I reach a point in building a puzzle where I’m looking at the pieces wondering if I’ve actually lost one. This time, I had five in hand and was left scratching my head wondering where I’d gone wrong. I admit I had to consult the image to sort out what I’d done. This puzzle certainly earned it 4/5 chilli pepper rating. The asymmetric border, repeated shape of the pieces, and mass of colour (including a shade of blue that looked almost black like the back of the puzzle pieces and yes I made the mistake of having the wrong side up!) made this a delightful challenge. I felt accomplished at the end. If you like puzzles and are looking for an indulgence, these wooden puzzles are a real treat. It’s also very nice to support an Island company. This one is particularly beautiful. It was my birthday present to myself.

Lots of fun ! Repeating puzzle cut makes it challenging, but allows for creativity with piece swapping

The vibrant Piñata Heart by the brilliant Julie Amlin, is a true feast for the eyes, with Julie's signature style blending whimsy and colors that make your heart skip a beat. Inspired by the celebration of love, the artwork is a burst of happiness and radiates positivity. ✨ I loved it as soon as I laid eyes on it and I was so excited to get started on it when it landed at my doorstep.
This puzzle debuts a new tesselated piece style from the Puzzle Lab which I was forewarned would be tricky. I thought it was a playful challenge with its 3 shapes creating tricky false fits intended to stump you, but once I got into the groove it became a delightful dance of fitting the pieces together. Despite the occasional head-scratching, I thoroughly enjoyed this puzzle and I’m happy to add it to my small but growing collection of Julie Amlin Puzzle Labs ♥️
If you’re looking for a puzzle that’s going to challenge you in new ways, this one is definitely for you! This puzzle was gifted to me in exchange for review.
